Don€™t be ashamed or scared to see a doctor, they€™re there to help. Take care, I feel for you. I honestly do. But they didn't. They left me sitting for 6 hours and did nothing but get *****y with me for being there again. Told me to go home and eat

Eating is such a chore!! With these panic attacks I feel nauseous so I fear vomiting a lot. So then I fear eating and watch what I eat incase I throw it up again! This has never happened to me. But the fear is still just as bad. I often think to myself how I can handle these symptoms. Don’t mind feeling nauseous but it’s the fear of dying that really does it. I fear choking on vomit and dying that way. Ergh theres always something to kill me. It’s one excuse after another with these horrible thoughts! Eating is my biggest hurdle during the day. For a couple of weeks I ate next to nothing. But now I just eat things that are easy to digest. Also I chew excessively for fear of choking. You’re supposed to eat slowly anyway so this is a good thing. I just wish the fear would not exist. I eat lots of soups, yogurt, fruit things like that. Then build myself up for eating crunchier meals. I’m getting better but it’s a slow process. Just yesterday I ate a packet of chips hehe that was a big accomplishment! Shedav, try to sip on liquids slowly. Look at the food or drink as a friend doing you good. Use a straw if it will help or even an eye dropper and drop water on your tongue that way. You can check if you’re dehydrated yourself by pinching your skin. Just pinch the skin on the back of your hand. If it springs back you’re not dangerously dehydrated. Don’t be ashamed or scared to see a doctor, they’re there to help. :) Take care, I feel for you. I honestly do.

Hi She, I am recovering from my relapse also, and making progress with my agoraphobia too. Besides getting the proper sleep, eating is a big factor also. If you continually skip meals, your appetite decreases, and then symptoms coming roaring in, along with confusion, the thoughts, fatigued mind, etc. Force yourself to eat something throughout the day, a granola bar, or small juice with toast at first, 1/2 sandwich with chips for lunch, and same for supper, till it builds back up to being hungry again. Way back over the years before my relapse, when I first was seen for my disorder, this was one thing I had to document between visits with my doctor. And was quite enlighting to find out when I skipped meals, or ate only once a day, my attacks were more pronounced. Hope this helps, Trish

This is a BIG hurdle for me too. How do you get passed the feelings and thoughts. How do you get out of the vicious cycle???? I think I have finally caught up on sleep but I am still not eating so still feeling weak. This relapse has been going on since Oct 15 and I am fed up. My family has been great but we all agree enough is enough. How do you fight yourself for control of your body and brain when its already made you so weak???

hiya, i understand that i controll my panic but where do you go from there. i tell myself that it's all me and that i do it and so i can stop it, but i still get in a mess. sometimes i wonder if there is something chemical going on, as if i miss a couple of tablets i go down. i get chest pain all the time and so i'm caught in a circle, if i feel ok then the chest pains remind me that i'm down. how do i control me? becca.

Nikole we have 100% control over the panic attacks. You will improve. It's frustrating when u go through a down time like u r but u will get better. Do your best to be patient and postive. Ciao

I realize that alot of people never struggle the way we do.I'm sad once I realize I put myself through all of this for no real reason.Just by my storming thoughts,I've created misery in my life.I just want the thoughts to go away and not return yet' they dont because I just cant forget them. These thoughts control me and I dont know why I cant get control over them like they get control over me!
