First day down

18 years ago 0 18 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
After reading the other comments, mine seems a trifle, but it was important to me. I made it thru the first day at work with a completely different routine. I stayed out of the smokers lounge and I made it thru 2 breaks and an hour lunch. It was as hard as I lead myself to think. I used the patch and I did good. It was the first step. I forgot that I had left an unfinished cigerette in the car last week. I noticed it there in the ashtray when I got off work. I looked, I grabbed and threw it out the window, touchdown. I know this is just the first step and there will be many more hard ones. I think the wanting to quit will be the key. I've learned that there are a number of people at work that are in the planning stage to quit and I think a support group at work would be great. Have a great day. Jaybird'slady

Jay, This is great success! Those were a lot of tests and you passed! Have your coping mechanism ready and leave the situation if you have to. We are here for you, so post often :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
