Well, here I am on day one(again)! I have been thinking about what allows me to ignore everything but the infinitesimal bit of psuedo pleasure involved and light up, as suggested by Healer Within. I think a weird combo of willfulness and weakness, if that is possible.
Thanks for the support, and tips on how to change my quit meter; after the first impulse to smoke when my eyes opened this a.m., the next time I thought about it was, natch, after breakfast, so I brushed my teeth, which helped. I read some of the Quit Workbook last night, and then again just now, and I'm going to listen to the relaxation cd before I go out into the world where there are stores that have cigarettes. lladro
