Friday I went to my MD who prescribed 37.5mg of Effexor XR for me to try. I was on day 5 and I was feeling horrible, racing heart, nausea, dizziness. I couldn't even work. He took my pulse and blood pressure, both were extremely high for me, he suggested that this might not be the right med for me. I agreed. I need to keep taking my Xanax. Which works for me, he prescribed Xanax XR for me if I want to try it.. Once again I don't like anti-depressants for anxiety, for me. When are these drug companies going to put out an anti-anxiety med that is for people like me who are always anxious and not depressed? Untill then I am sticking to the benzos... and CBT therapy, books, tapes, positive self talk, whatever will work for me... Thanks for your help!!
