I'm in the stage of my quit where I want to learn and understand as much as I can about nicotine/tobacco and its harmful effects. I went to my local librairy and checked out Allen Carr's The Easy Way to Stop Smoking as I've heard from a few of you that it's a good read. I'm halfway through it, and it is a good read. He makes some very good points. Can anyone recommend any other good reads... I'm almost obsessed with this. As they say knowlege is power. I have his book and I read it every night. Sometimes, I go back a chapter and re-read it as an enforcement. I also have a meditation CD but out by Meditainment that helps me w/ craves. I use it faithfully every day and night before I close my eyes. If you call the American Lung Society, they will send you free reading materials in the mail. Ness.. Do a search on this site for "golferman" posts. His tag line says knowledge replaces fear and he has posted a lot of facts on nicotine and smoking. Also, search "shevie" posts. He also does a lot of research on the affects of nicotine. Congratulations on your 15 days! That is awesome! Hi Ness, You can check and see if there are any nicotine anonymous meetings in the town where you live. They have alot of small pamphlets that I read and re read in the beginning of my quit. They also have a small book that is $7, I think. They helped me reinforce my quit. You can google them on the internet and plug in your town to see if there are any meetings close to you. Congrats on 2 weeks nicodemon free!!!!
