Well, Nalu and everyone, today was a bit rough. Had to take a pill because I was sooo edgy. Doing better now and DID NOT smoke, bad as I wanted to. Maybe I am jumping the gun a bit trying to get off the NRT. I will try again tomorrow but I'm hoping things will calm down. Thanks for all the great support! Thank you Josie and Free! I feel great and absolutely no withdrawl symptoms at all! Don't know why I thought I needed luck for this! Yea, I feel GREAT!!! Thanks for all the support here. I will be around every day still just to stay on top of my stats but I won't be a stranger here either. I want to help support all the new people who join and give them whatever encouragement I can. Thanks again. I will be talking to you all soon. :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 53 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,345 Amount Saved: $198.75 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 23 Mins: 29 Seconds: 24

Wow, I do love this place. Thank you all so much for the support. I can't even tell you how much it means to me. I am doing better now. Taking the Chantix once a day and started up the after dinner mints again. Today is much better than the last 2. I guess I was pretty surprised at my reaction to having nothing to curb the urges. Guess maybe I'm just not ready to be off the NRT. These last 2 days taught me a lot of things but the most important was to NEVER do this to myself again. 56 days and counting, one day at a time. I just thought I was ready to quit everything. Oh well, the most important thing is to not smoke, right? So, if I have to take the NRT's for the rest of my life, I guess that is better than smoking. I hope someday though, the nicomonster will be eliminated. Again, thank you all for the support. I hope I can help all of you in some way as well. :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,416 Amount Saved: $210 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 8 Mins: 16 Seconds: 55

Tomorrow I go off the patch for good. I am taking Chantix but it doesn't have any nicotine in it. Only way to truly stop is to break the nicodemon inside of me. Sure hope it works. I am a bit nervous about this but just keep telling myself that I HAVE to do it. So, wish me luck everyone that I don't turn into some evil nasty person! :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,122 Amount Saved: $165 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 19 Mins: 47 Seconds: 27

Hi all, I am doing great! Feel really good today as well. This isn't as bad as I anticipated it would be. Still having occasional urges but nothing that I can't work through on my own. I just can't believe I am actually getting rid of these things forever. I never thought I'd be able to quit smoking! I am elated so much that I am going to go out and celebrate tonight! Thanks for all the great support. I may stick around here even after I feel like I won't need the support anymore! Everyone is just terrific and I feel like I will be able to help others out as well. Thank You! Hi all, Thank you so much for the support. It hasn't been too bad without the patch. I did have about a minute of serious craving but I had the mints handy so it passed quickly. So far, so good!! I know I can, I know I can! :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,142 Amount Saved: $168.75 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 22 Mins: 14 Seconds: 52

Hi all, I am doing great! Very excited about a decision I made today! Decided to stop all forms of medications and I feel good. I was on the patch for a long time then I quit that and went just to Chantix. Well, I think the Chantix was keeping me awake at night. I tried moving the afternoon dose earlier and still had trouble sleeping at night. So, today I decided not to take it anymore. So far I feel real good. Hopefully I will be able to get some real sleep tonight or tomorrow. As for coping, I come here every day and login what's happening that day. My meter is the BEST medicine for me. When I see how many days it's been and how much money I'm not spending on something so useless, it just serves to strengthen my resolve. As for distractions, I just keep myself busy. Today it was playing on the computer and cleaning house. Sometimes, just to relax a bit, I'll pick up my crocheting. I'm in the middle of making a red and white afghan. Red and white because I am an avid Detroit Red Wings fan and it will work will in my "Red Wings decorated bedroom". :) Anyway, will update you daily on how I do without any drugs! I am now down to 10mg and still not 100% Be careful do whatever you need to do just do not smoke we cannot go through this ever again. I couldnt!
