I think you're right. There was a little part of me that had some compassion. One of the reasons I wanted to quit smoking was because I was embarassed about it. Today I was walking through downtown. Smokers were outside the office buildings, it seemed like everywhere. Finally, I came across a large group huddled beneath a windbreaker (It can be cold in San Francisco during the summer). Well, I truly wanted to pick a fight with them, just for the hell of it. I wanted to yell out, You look stupid! I did manage to not to do so, but boy, now that I quit smoking I seem to require a good fight now and then. I find that when i have thoughts like that, its more me that im not so much angry at but ashamed of. I knew i looked stupid standing out in that tiny little area we were allowed to smoke in or in a hail storm smoking that darn sickarette but i was addicted and was so desperately wanting to quit but too afraid.... too darn afraid... I have been smoke free for 35 days and i love the freedom. bgaineshunter, You could try writing down your nasty thoughts on paper? Or you could draw a picture of the nicodemon and stick it on your dart board? Take up kickboxing? You could also take on a more proactive approach? You could volunteer to speak to teens at a local highschool about the dangers of smoking? Maybe collaborate with the school to start a quit contest for teens who do smoke? How you choose to deal with any anger you may have towards smoking or anything else is solely up to you. Keep trying to find an outlet... Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

lol~Get with Bubba, he has some flyers about the dangers of smoking you can silently hand them as you pass by. ;p 35 days can be an 'edgy time' bg so try not to sweat it. Come here and yell at me instead. I really don't mind :) All the best~ 2 My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 360 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,939 Amount Saved: $1800 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 6 Mins: 3 Seconds: 28
