Have you had a discussion with an online doctor? Each doctor can give you a different perspective

Hi missdjrane Welcome to the group! I to am like you I've had panic attacks for years also they actually went away and now i'm 24 and they have returned with the birth of my first child and to much stress. I take 50mg of zoloft and have been for about 4 months now and it is great i didn't really have many side affects except for sleepiness so my doctor told me to take it before bed time. He also gave me xanax to take it they got to bad but I haven't needed to take that in a long time which is great. The zoloft has made me so much better though i'm myself again and can go out and drive by myself. I'm like you i used to read all the side affects on meds and then i had them. But when my doc put me on zoloft i didn't even read them that time and it worked. So i won't be reading them anymore cause it helps then you won't think you have them. I to am thin but it did not effect my weight any. But i hope this helps and if you need anything else just let me know. good luck shanna

hello, i take zoloft 50mg, i have been taking it for 5/6wks and just starting to feel better. like you i have been suffering with pa and anxiety on and off for 6 years, just latley they have got really bad, i moved into a new house 6wks ago and thats when it started. i have been signed off work, i can usually cope with work but it got so bad i couldnt face it. the zoloft has really helped me, although somedays i do feel emotionless i am getting better, i dont cry as much and now i am taking trips in my car, visiting friends going shopping etc, i hope to go back to work this week. i cant say i had any side effects, i have taken this med before and it did work, i took it for about a year and was totally fine for about a year until i moved. try the med i think it works, good luck. toni

Hi, Can anyone give me some of their experiences on Zoloft,(try not to scare me please) I've been strongly advised by my psychiatrist to start Zoloft. I have had panic disorder on and off for years. I usually can get a handle on it. I take an occassional Xanax when real bad. But lately I feel I need some help with a med. So starting Sunday morning I will take my first dose. I've got Ativan and Xanax if I need it. I might half a 25mg for a couple days. Even though he wants me to start at 25mg. I am very tall and thin, and meds. effect me a lot. I'm terrified to start this med. due to all the side effects I've read everywhere. I can't afford to lose any weight. Maybe I should just stop reading the bad stuff.... How long have you been on it? Any advice? I'm so freaked about this, I live alone, it seems worse going through this alone.. Thanks
