Dental surgery

Iwona, this is a good time to challenge your thinking. What is it you're afraid of? If it's pain during the procedure, you know that your jaw will be frozen. If it's pain afterward, discuss this with the dentist. They can prescribe something for pain.

I think it's natural to be worried and anxious about this, I think most people get nervous before surgeries.

Guys, next week I am having this minor dental operation on one of my roots (not root canal work, but physical removal og the root, i don't know how it's called in English) and I am scared to death of it. I need to have this done as there's a huge abscess around this root which can cause the inflammation of other teeth and i understand the reasons for its removal - on the logical level. But not on panic level. i get dreams of this procedure and all the time i am tense and scared. i try to talk about this procedure during my wory time but this isn't enough. any ideas how i can survive this week (it takes place next Thursday at 3:30 pm my time LOL)and not be so tense? and not think about it all the time? it really adds to my panic and anxiety! thanks, Iwona
