Oh so sorry. I somehow missed the ball on your message. If you only have panic when in certain situations, using the Panic Program will help you to challenge your fear in those specific situations. When you get to session 4 you will be introduced to exposure work and how to create goals and specific exposure plans. There is even a specific exposure plan example for "driving alone". Basically you challenge your fear in steps...sitting in the car alone parked in the drive for 1 hour, sitting in the car alone in the driveway with the engine running, driving up and down your street or around the block (alone) and gradually driving further and further from home (alone). Other group members will likely have lots of tips too.
In the panic diary, even if you don't have a panic attack on a certain day, you can still record your medications taken and your fear level, plus make notes, such as "I did not go out today." It keeps a record you can print out for your doctor, and one which you can review to monitor your progress over time.
I have just started the Panic Program, The problem I am having is that I only have panic attacks when I am faced with having to drive some where by my self, which I don't ever do, so in my home work it says to every day keep track of my anxiety and Panic, but I don't have PA on a daily basis ( I used to ) but now it's only when I have to drive or if I was to be left alone somewhere I think my Fear is being alone, Like I can drive if my husband is in the car with me and I can go shopping but only if he is with me, but just the thought of going some where by my self just freaks me out. OK OK I know I am going in to many directions back to the problem How do I do my home work when I am not having these PA every day , only when faced with my fear do I have them?
