Hi this my third day and I am fragile, I sent e mails or called friends to make them aware of my decision to stop smoking. I received an e mail from one of my friends. Suggesting (as a joke) that my husband should move into his garage for the next few months. I felt like having a cigarette after reading it. I am so sensitive My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 44 Amount Saved: $8 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 20 Seconds: 48

Have you worked throught the Quit Program Tools to the left of the screen Marie? They will really help prepare you for this quit. Commit to your quit. Own it. Do not let other people effect your quit in a negative way. If you feel like smoking ... try breathing in and out deeply, going for a walk, drinking water through a straw, chewing gum, exercising, taking a bath or a shower, going to sleep ... anything ... but do not smoke. Hi Marie, Don't be too hard on yourself. Keep your focus on your quit. Do you have a plan in place for dealing with cravings? Danielle ________________________________________ The Habitrol Support Team

Marie - At day 2 we were ALL sensitive. Your hubby will have to just grin and bear it. Quitting is tough, but obviously can be done. Be positive and stay strong. Great attitudes make for great quits. Marie, It's OK. You can and will be sensitive for awhile. Your friend made a poor joke at a bad time, but did not mean to hurt you. Not all people go crazy when they quit. Some of us just quietly hold on and breath ourselves through the rough spots. Try to concentrate on the journey you are taking to make a new you. Give yourself a lot of praise and positive reinforcement (rewards). You are doing something that is going to benifit your whole family and your friends also. You just keep on one day at a time. You do what you need to do to get through and just remember.... Not One Puff Ever...... Keep on keeping on...
