hi there. the fears you explained sound quite familiar cuz my doctor said i have the same thing. i believe fear of being around people or 'social anxiety disorder' and perfection and organization 'obsessive compulsive disorder' or OCD are normal and pretty common. i suggest seeing a good psychiatrist and explaining every little detail because i hear there are alot of new meds out there that work wonders. try to find one thats best for you. just talking about it helps too. this is a great site and even tho i am in an emotional hole i still try to give advice because i have been depressed my entire life so i know a few things about a few things but now all of a sudden things i never even heard of are popping up. you just gotta keep on going. some days you have a positive attitude and the will to help yourself and go on, and other days you just wanna put an end to it all. it happens. but this site is here to offer support especially during those bad days. A competent doctor should be supportive and helpful if you approach him or her about this. You can ask for a referral to a therapist, for instance. The main thing is you want this to end, so you want help. So be sure to ask for it. The more you can be clear about what you need help with, the easier it should be.

Hi Anne-Marie! I just found the test an took it! I never realized how much anxiety I have! Especially when it comes to social situations. I hate being around people for fear they will dislike me, or talk behind my back, or see me as weird. But I'll be sure to print it out and give it to my Dr.- but Im afraid and embarrassed to do that too! Can I ever win?!

Hi Jennifer. Welcome! May I suggest you begin by taking the free online anxiety test? If you pront out the results, it will help to discuss the whole question with your doctor, who can take it from there.

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I'm very glad to have found this site! I have depression and major anxiety. I don't know if I really have "panic attacks", but when I get really anxious, I start to get sick like getting a stomach ache and things like that. And I CAN NOT stay still or handle when it takes too long to get to a destination. I have a major fear of driving, because I feel like if I don't drive, Im preventing myself from dying in a car accident, or killing someone else. When my husband goes somewhere, I panic that something will happen to him. I think about dying, or my husband dying on a regular basis. Im scared to death of it. (no pun intended!) I've been trying to get pregnant for two years will no success, and I fear it will never happen. Im a major hypocondriac. I was put on prozac, but I never take it for fear it will prevent me from getting pregnant. I also am obsessive about perfection and organization. Does anyone know exactly what my fears are called? Can anyone relate to my specific fears? I feel crazy soemtimes like I can't get a grip. My fears and anxiety are controlling my life!
