Hi Bonny, congrats on you and you're husbands quit. I used to have peoblems like that when I was a kid (non-smoke related back then) and a de-humidifier or running the shower always worked for me. I've been smoke free for about 37 days and I have had no cravings for the pass week or so but I can't seem to stop coughing. A very dry cough that creeps up at night time and prevents me from getting a night of undisturbed sleep. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now and it is driving me nuts!! I take a glass of water to bed with me but it does not help. I am not using any medication. Please if anyone has an idea on how to stop the coughing please please help. From Bonny P.S. My husband Jamie is 3 days smoke free!! Hi Bonny! Just wondering how you and your hubby are doing? When I had a dry cough, a friend suggested a cough medicine with expectorant. It helps break up any congestion in your chest a bit faster, which helps you get rid of all that lovely "stuff." ;p Best, Livadia My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 90 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,810 Amount Saved: $450 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 13 Mins: 33 Seconds: 9

Hi congratulations to both you and hubby, just run a very hot shower with the bathroom door closed and sit there for 5 minutes, I didn't have a cough for more than 2 days and only during the day, my friend game me this recipe. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,437 Amount Saved: $380 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 15 Mins: 13 Seconds: 20

Congrats to both you and your husband! What a wonderful gift to give to each other and to yourselves! I have stopped coughing with my quit, but when my kids had croup as babies, the Dr. suggested the cool mist vaporizer as Free said. Also suggested late night walks in the cool damp night air or hot steamy showers.
