Fluid Retention Problem

There are days I totally feel like I am retaining water. I feel totally bloated and then the next day it is just gone. It is the weirdest thing in the world. Cigarettes Not Smoked

19 years ago 0 33 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Well it finally happened. I have been retaining fluids again. Each time I have tried to quit smoking, I start to retain fluids really bad around the 3 month point. It happened again this time, and I have not been able to get it under control (last two times, I went back to smoking to solve the problem). To date, I have gained 20 pounds, most of it liquid. My feet, and fingers have swelled up, and all this extra weight makes moving around difficult. I get out of breath just walking across a parking lot. I am trying to watch what I eat, and to drink plenty of liquid especially water. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone know of a diaretic that works. Apparently nictotine is one according to my walk in clinic doctor. I've heard that all kinds of melons are good natural diaretics...your doctor should be able to help you...smoking is a far worse health risk than retaining water. You are doing great! I can't wait until I am almost 200!!! Hang in there. aubanki, Thank for sharing :) Have you seen you won doctor? Your pharmacist can also be of great assistance to you. Smoking may have been masking the problem, so you need to address it now. Keep us updated, Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
