Has anyone seen the movie "The Insider"? It's all about how the tobacco companies years ago knew that they were getting people addicted to cigarettes and deliberately withheld that information from the smoking public. The first time I saw that movie, I was very angry, but it wasn't enough to make me quit. Now, well my health is the underlying issue but this article is making me angry all over again. Once again big tobacco has been duping the smoking public for several years. Well, they aren't going to get me again. I am 9 days now and, with each passing day, it gets easier! So, take that, big tobacco. This is one you won't have! My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 6 Mins: 26 Seconds: 1

The level of nicotine that smokers typically consume per cigarette has risen about 10 percent in the past six years, making it harder to quit and easier to get hooked, according to a new report released Tuesday by the Massachusetts Department of Health. The study shows a steady climb in the amount of nicotine delivered to the lungs of smokers regardless of brand, with overall nicotine yields increasing by about 10 percent. Massachusetts is one of three states to require tobacco companies to submit information about nicotine testing according to its specifications and the only state with data going back to 1998. had enough, Thanks for the information! It would be nice to see all companies going that extra mile and giving the negative effects of smoking on all individuals! No matter how you put it, smoking is bad! Knowledge is power and the more you know the better informed you will be! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
