Hi, all. I just wanted to reflect on a few days prior to today. I've recently decided to return to college after 8 years. It's very new to me and when I started this semester, I was a smoker. Now I'm not. On my Tue/Thurs classes, I have a 40 min. gap of which I used to spend smoking. :( However, now that I'm a non-smoker, I find that to be alot of time and so the other day I decided not to go for a ride to the store. Instead I decided to sit in the breakroom and have a bag of chips and study. I was facing the plate-glass windows....and therefore was in direct view of where the smokers sit. Then out of no where, I see the girl I had smoked with on the second day of classes. She comes through the breakroom chatting with another, purchases a bag of chips and starts telling the other girl to : "come on, because I have to get a little bit of nicotine in me before my next class!" I started laughing. I was thinking, "how silly to be that dependent on nic that you cannot function in a 2hr class or a 1hr 20min class without it. All I could say was "wow, that used to be me". I had to have a cig for every chain of events in my life. Nic had become my sugar and fuel. D***, now I see why I never had much energy to do anything productive. How could I when I constantly use my energy just to get energy?! WHEW, glad those days are over. How good I felt sitting there and knowing that I didnt have a craving to follow her out that door. :D Leolibra N.O.P.E.
