I knew that you wouldnt smoke. With the job BF - everything happens for a reason and sometimes when we get the one that we didnt want to get - that is because we are getting something that is challenging us further helping us to grow. If he got the job in his 'safe zone' he might not grow so much. You are both doing so well with your quits!! This is brilliant news, am proud of you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,121 Amount Saved: 330 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 22 Mins: 52 Seconds: 46

BF I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this right now. They say what doesnt break us makes us stronger, I think that is a true saying. I sincerely hope that you receive the support that you consistently give to others. x As one door closes another opens.. Maybe you will work as a counsellor one day, I think you would be good at it. Hi Breaking Free, you stay strong. I know life throws some wicked punches, but out of every negative comes a positive, really it does. Me and my husband both became unemployed at the same time... and you are right on, re-addicting yourself will not change your situation. I am always thinking of you, you have been instrumental in my quit, so keep us posted, you are still an inspiration, life goes on you are still a winner in my book, all the best jeanigirl My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 597 Amount Saved: $213.75 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 20 Mins: 49 Seconds: 8

Breaking Free: Sounds like you are going through a trying time now and that will test your quit. I have faith in you and I will pray for you. I got away from God for a long time now (several decades), but He and I have had a lot of conversations over the last 63 days. My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 63 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,173 Amount Saved: $504 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 12 Mins: 40 Seconds: 17

I hope you'll let me add my sincere best wishes to this list, Breaking Free, and that you'll find the situation resolved sooner rather than later. You're right, our kids do make us fearful where we would otherwise be fearless, but I have complete faith that you will use the fearlessness you engaged in your quit. I'm a great believer in the possibility of finding the positive, maybe unexpected, but nevertheless positive outcomes of life changes, especially imposed changes. Best luck of all sending your way, faithfully Lilly :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,273 Amount Saved: 375 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 19 Mins: 47 Seconds: 12

Things have not changed. In fact they are getting worse. We were denied any kind of help because we have an IRA. So we have to cash in our retirement. If we don't, we will not have money to eat. No health insurance. To answer your question MistyMoon, my husband has a MBA and will be finishing his 2nd Bachelor's in Human Resource Management in June. I find all of this to be quite a joke. We made all of these sacrifices to get ahead. (going to college full time & working full time, me taking all the slack and doing everything with the kids, him not seeing the kids due to his schedule) And we are worse off now than when we started it seems. We did all this to 'get ahead'. What the h@ll?! What gives?!
