Oh my gosh . . . thank you all so much!! I have to be honest, I was just going to quietly end Hell Week and go into Heck Week and just, slowly, tip-toe away . . . as you see I am starting to experience the sadness of a great change in my life. It's losing a close friend, who's been there every step of the way & even when I didn't want that friend around, it would force me to want them . . . damn cigarettes! So here I am getting comfy on this pity-pity-pity-me pot and that's dangerous to my quit. Way too dangerous! Why is it that some times I find it so easy to feel sorry for myself rather than do what I KNOW has been working for me. Such as positive self-talk, journaling, posting, even trying to get this breathing thing down. All I can say is, I logged on and started browsing around and saw your "7-Day" post, Krissie. Wow, did I ever need that today. Thank all of you BIG TIME for this motivation 'cause today I needed it much more than I ever realized. Still Smoke-FREE & Workin' on Happy! on 1 week Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Ericon... mourn your lost friend. I missed my smokes for a long time but it does get better. You are going through a lot right now both emotionally and physically. As long as you don't smoke, each day will get better and better. Quitting smoking changes our lives. It is a process that we go through. It sounds like you are doing great. Keep taking it one step at a time and remember NOPE Not One Puff Ever. That is how we all quit. Congratulations on making it through Hell Week!
