14 days and still going strong.... The last two weeks has been a strange transition for me. Going from smoking every day to not at all at first was strange, finding that i had a lot more time on my hands, and also having to keep myself busy, or occupied in times when i would have smoked (for example waiting for a bus, or in a pub etc). The weekends are by far the hardest, however my friends have helped me through mainly by refusing me cigarettes even when i ask for them (i hope that doesnt mean i am cheating a bit!). I am very glad for this, and have woken up each morning thankful that i did not smoke the night before. Anyway, the reason for this post was to let new quitters know (i understand that i am quite new myself) that it requires determination, and a little help from your friends, but it can be done! I am now in the situation where i do not think of smoking during the day at work, where i would have smoked most, and am starting to feel so much better. I get a bit scared when i read peoples posts and they are still craving after a 100 days, a year or more, however i also feel comforted that the people on this site help them through, and i know that if ever i am in that enviable position of being 1 year + smoke free and i am still craving that there will be people here to help me. Thankyou all, each one of you is amazing kolativey 'Oice water' is still working!
