Aching Joints - what the?

18 years ago 0 3368 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I wish I could offer you up an explanation. I had the opposite happen to me. My joints hurt when I was smoking ... now they don't. All these chemicals coming out of us do weird things. I can't believe we did this stuff to ourselves ... and for what? It is crazy. I hope you feel better chickstarr and that it is nothing serious. Hi all, Just after some input here. For the past few days I've been having aching joints. Sometimes my hips, sometimes my knees, or ankles. Today it was my elbows and wrists! Has anyone else experienced this during the quit process? And I'm curious about what could possibly cause it. I'm glad that my body is healing; all my body's chemistry is balancing back to normal. But has anyone else had aching joints? And how long does it last? cheers alison :) Kick the Herb to the Kerb My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 910 Amount Saved: $375 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 7 Mins: 10 Seconds: 13

Hi, Alison. I've not heard of joint problems as related to a quit. Not that they couldn't be, but I've never heard of it. Great tag line, BTW. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 388 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,773 Amount Saved: $1474.4 Life Gained: Days: 72 Hrs: 11 Mins: 1 Seconds: 51

chick, Everyone's quit is unique! You body has its own way of healing. Smoking does has a history of masking problems, so check with your doctor to rule out anything medical. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
