Making new memories...

18 years ago 0 3368 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Yesterday a lot of friends came over for me to color, cut, etc. their hair. (sometimes I swear I should open up another salon again) Anyway between clients/friends I use to smoke, back when I had my own business (b/k). Yesterday was probably the strongest trigger/memory for me that I have had so far. It has been approx. 4 to 5 years since I sold my business & that trigger had not made my 'list'. I think because I was not 'expecting' it, it jolted me a bit more at first. Anyway the purpose of me writing this is to stress how important it is to be aware of your strongest smoking memories. Make a list of them. It is much easier to refocus yourself on something else when a memory hits if you are prepared ahead of time and you are expecting it. When the memory hit me ... at first I felt uneasy (couple of seconds) ... I recognized it, I didn't let panic set in, I did not give the memory power to move forward and over take me and I refocused myself. Happy as hell to be taking my power back and to be making non smoking memories! Have a great weekend folks!
