5 Weeks!!!!

18 years ago 0 61 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I do this every week and some people are probably sick of reading it, but, I am 5 weeks today!!!! YAY. I just keep on suprising myself. I never thought I would end up going this far and to actually WANT to keep going. I was talking to DH tonight (who is 1 day quit behind me) and talking about how a friend of mine quit but still has the odd occasional social smoke. He said that he wishes he was strong enough to have that occasional one and not go back to full time smoking again. I first of all agreed with him but very quickly snapped back to reality and explained that even the ocasional social smoke is toxic and potentially deadly. We havent quit to save money (however that is a nice bonus) we havent even quit due to the inconvieniance of finding the time and place to smoke, we have quit to help save ourselves. To prolong our lives and watch our beautiful children grow up. To raise them in an environment with clean, fresh air. Having the odd occasional social smoke does not exempt you from chronic illness and, more than likely, a premature death. I am free. I am a non smoker and proud of it. 5 weeks.....WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT. Love watching that quit meter grow!!!! 5 weeks is awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
