Thanks for making me smile Marianne :-) I thought I was the only one in the whole world who rolled my upper lip up to my nose.

Ohhhhhh yes, I'm exactly the same! Gnashing teeth, bending fingers, pinching my skin and worst of all this compulsion to roll my upper lip up to my nose. Looks really really stupid! Like you say, it was a lot worse when I was a child but I'm still doing it. It's definitely an obsessive/compulsive thing with me, like an itch, like having to get up in the middle of the night if I notice a door or drawer that isn't closed. Obsessive/compulsive behaviour is quite typical for people with panic disorder, I think. Marianne

In addition to panic and anxiety I tend to tense different muscles in my body over and over ... I am compelled to do this... sometimes it might be blinking, or breathing a certain way... stretching my fingers really far apart and bending them... opening my mouth really wide or flaring my nostrils... its stuff that I know looks weird, but I cant always control the compulsion I have to do these things. I have ALWAYS done this, since I was a child... but it was worse then ~ I would make noises and didnt really know how disruptive my behavior was. I bite the inside of my mouth constantly too... the reason I bring this up here in the support group is that these other symptoms I am describing are way worse when my anxiety levels are high. Does anyone else go thru this? I am aware of terrets syndrome... but I dont know if that is my problem, or if these are 'nervous ticks'...
