It's Funny (Not Really)

The first three days, I was so physically ill that I did not realize that I was craving anything. I was just trying to deal with the heart palpitations, vomiting, nausea, loating feeling, and insomnia. Then the second week I felt like I had a monkey on my back. Ate a lot. Got into a fight or two. Getting lots of support, though. Funny thing about living in California, when you're smoking you resent these antismoking laws and nonsmokers, some who are just having a bad day and see you as an easy target. Now that I am not smoking the laws are helpful. Plus, now I realize that I am the only one of my friends, who live in California, who smokes. Most of my friends are so proud of me. They are providing my rewards right now. I will increase the amount of cable TV I have in September as my reward to myself. Keep telling myself that I can't afford it now. But I wonder how I would be affording my cigarettes, if I was smoking. I think I would be trying to roll them myself. This quit has been hard fought. I'm glad I was so sick at first. That way way Nicodemon starts telling me how easy it was and I can quit anytime I want to, so go ahead and have a puff, I'll be much stronger than I have been in the past. This is my quit. I own it and will nurture it.
