Just another reason I am so glad I quit when I did. I was recently diagnosed with a medical condition that is permanent and non-smoking related but if I was smoking, I would have to quit now. Smoking would severely impact the condition I have now. I thought about how difficult it would be to try to deal with the stress of this condition and quit smoking at the same time, and I feel so grateful I already quit.
It was a great feeling to answer the specialist when he asked if I was a smoker, "No, I quit 8 months ago." And his nod of approval that we wouldn't have that to cope with.
