i replied to this but it has vanished! Anyway well done mate keep going You are far too intelligent to even contemplate that smoking would have helped at all!! Ijust noticed somethin'hidden' in your post mate see below which reminded me of last weekend 'At one point I actually walked into a convenience store and went straight to the counter thinking about buying a pack of smokes. ' I find those packs look very attractive all shiny and new lined up in a wonderful array of colours. I was not even thinking about smoking last Sunday and went into a store to pick up my newspapers and believe me I was tempted. I think they should be packaged in a far less attractive fashion (ie all black and white or something) Anyway my wife can pick up thepapers she has never smoked! Cybrduke, That sounds like what i went threw on the first few days of my quit. It is a great feeling to know that you can handle life w/o a cig. Sometimes it is hard to handle life on lifes terms, but it is possible. Good for you, for coming threw with flyin colors. Although I do hope today is calmer for you. Heres to your health. Grace

Way to keep quit, Cybr! Tried to sell my kids on e-bay once, but never recieved a single bid! :( A few months back our computer went out, a freezer broke and my dryer caught on fire within a two day period. I held up nicely, thank you. However, on the third day my $8.00 curling iron broke and I fell apart...cried like a baby! :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,321 Amount Saved: $368 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 40 Seconds: 34

Holy cow Cyberduke! That is an overflowing plate for sure. And you handled it without falling for the 'lies of addiction'. YOU handled everything thrown your way. Awesome! Life is messy. I hope that everything going on in your life is getting worked out. Cybrduke and Fellow Shamrock, Sounds like one of those commercials where the guy REALLY needs a vacation. No doubt about fighting hard and staying quit - and when that cruise ship pulls up and you're on that deck w/ a drink in hand and the sunshine in your face, it will have been worth all you had to endure to get there. :) Yes Indeed....... Early Congrats on BIG 8 ! cybrduke... Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Congratulations! Welcome to freedom from the enslavement of smoking. There have been several times I have considered throwing in the towell along this journey. What matters is that we don't. It feels great to still be quit :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 480 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,608 Amount Saved: $1680 Life Gained: Days: 42 Hrs: 8 Mins: 4 Seconds: 50

The only reward I need at this point is the fact that I am still quit. That's enough for me. I'm good with that knowledge. Thanks Phil you're right, i am smart enough to know a smoke would not help. Hey Lady - it's a nice t-shirt ain't it? Josie is right as well - I had a LOT to do and smoking would have taken away time I needed to accomplish it all. It sure was a day for the books. I'm glad it's behind me now.
