At least I don't stink

18 years ago 0 31 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Only 18 days in to it and not really getting any easier. Sometimes the cravings are stronger now than before. But, I may be getting more in the habbit of not smoking and that helps. I use to smoke in the garage and now I feel guilty just walking through the garage even though not smoking, try to get back in the house really quick as if someone is watching and i am about to get caught doing something wrong. Chewing a lot of gum, sucking on mints, drinking water, and taking lozenges. I wish I was easier to get along with but at least I don't stink. My breathe is soooo much more pleasant too. Everyone keep posting, that's the biggest help for me. Thank you! You go through alot of changes when you quit, it does get better. Doing things you used to do smoking is like all new as a non-smoker. My first 3hr drive out of state with out my smokes, thought I was gonna die. Well that was 4 weeks ago and I am still alive. Just be aware and prepared for your triggers. And be proud 18 days...good for you!!!! I love the way my hair smells =) My hair is super long and I like to twirl the curls even more. Inadvertantly, I will bring my hair to my face and all I can smell is flowery scents from my shampoo =) I had to go to the doc and the nurse was a smoker. She was talking to me and she kept breathing in my face which made me gag even more. When she asked what meds I was on, I have her the list and then pointed to the patch as an OTC medication. She smiled and stepped away from me. I guess I was giving a frown at her each time she spoke. Hi Miagi, First off, CONGRATULATIONS on being 18 days smoke free!!! That is an amazing accomplishment! Keep your focus on your success, and it will get easier. Are you rewarding yourself? That is a neccesity!!! Just know that you are doing a FANTASTIC job. Stay focused, and only take it one day a time. One foot in front of the other will get you where you want to be. And do not forget, N.O.P.E. Not One Puff Ever I'm rooting for ya!! ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 227 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,825 Amount Saved: $742.29 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 7 Mins: 22 Seconds: 27
