Cuddles, I'm so sorry you are dealing with such a challenging situation...and I'm sorry that hubby and mom have chosen smoking at this time. Even though we know it's their choice, it's so hard to see those we love hurt themselves... As you know, it is only your Quit you can take care of and protect and kudos to you for doing just that. You and your family are in my prayers, and I am sending Light and Special Blessings your way, dear one. Cuddles - I know exactly how you feel. Hubby still smoking here as well - and while my mom doesn't smoke - my mother in law does. Sad, isn't it? I have told my husband that I am going to get his affairs in order (even though he isn't sick and is only 51) so if something happens to him because of smoking I will have something to fall back on. And you know what? He didn't even argue - he just signed everything. He knows that he needs to quit and says he just can't. So...we will just own this quit together, you and I. We are awesome women and have the strength to continue on this smoke free path. Take Care! Cuddles, I'm so proud of you, I know that situation is very hard for you. But you have stood the test. So hold your head up high and continue on with your journey. Cigarettes Not Smoked

18 years ago 0 2364 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Good - I am still not smoking Bad - Hubby had a smoke at our cookout last nite Ugly- My mom was at our cook out and twice, I saw her sneaking a smoke. She saw me and was hiding it in her hand. I didnt say anything to her. [hope she didnt burn herself] She knows what she is doing, she is 70 years old, to old to scold. When mom was leaving to go home, her knee gave out and she fell and rolled across the ground. Thank god she was all right. Hang on Cuddles. I know this pains you. You have proven yourself to be both strong and courageous. Hold on to that and keep believing in yourself. You cannot change others. You can only focus on you. One day at a time, One step at a time. I am so very, very proud of you and how far you have come in this journey. Six months ago you would have given up. Today, there is no way. You are a winner. Don't let anyone discourage you. We are here for you. Cuddles, The "good" in this situation is awesome!!! The bad and the ugly are secondary to your quit... you know that. Congratulations on not smoking! Hopefully the other two very important people in your life will see the light soon and will get fed up with smoking and will quit for good. I will keep praying for all three of you. Crave the Quit!
