Mom of 3,
When I first was diagnosed with panic attacks I refused to believe it but once I accepted it and began working on the issues associated with it and with the help of medication, relaxation (yoga and meditation) not for everyone it really helped me.
I don't know that it last forever, but I do know that it can get better. I went from being house bound and not able to drive being off work to working, driving and going to my children€™s events.
I have 2 boys 11 and 14 both very active in sports with almost an event each day. The kids have been my savor as the help give me the incentive to take care of me so that I can take care of them.
I am not saying that everyday is a great day of sunshine and that I don't ever have panic attacks. I have just learnt how to deal with them and to recognize the symptoms as symptoms, and to remember that noboy dies of a panic attack. I think it does get better.
:)
