... and living in the country that invented binge-drinking, I'm really worried for young people..

I heard about that and just thought what the hell is wrong with this world. BUT I was once a smoker and would have liked the idea. I don't travel much but I have been on flights before and it sucks to be nicin out. I try not to be one of "those" ex-smokers who shuns the smokers, KWIM? It is ludacris though!

Are they crazy or what. You have to be 18 to buy this drink. How many times does a young child, pick up mommy or daddys drink, and drinks it. Want a smoke and cant have one, drink liquid nicotine instead. What is wrong with this picture. Down on cigarette sales, so now you can just drink nicotine. What is wrong with these people?
Launched by start-up NicTime, the product is being marketed at airports to cranky commuters who aren't allowed to smoke on planes. The company is test marketing the drinks at Los Angeles International Airport and hopes to soon begin selling the drink -- which tastes like lemon water -- at more than 50 airports nationwide
Next the teenagers will be having liquid nicotine partys.

It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......

I remember reading something about this last year on this site except it was nicotine in beer and it was starting in Germany... I hadn't heard of anything hitting the US yet. That's so sad. Just when we think we're starting to win the war against smoking and nicotine... the world's view on smoking is that it's awful and horrible and should be stayed away from (which is good) and smoking rates are declining all over the place... and now this!!! This really saddens me... not to mention sickens me when I think about that disgusting drink! YUK!!!
Thanks for posting Cuddles.
Crave the Quit!

I heard about this just yesterday from a co-worker.
It seems like it could just be another form of NRT. Not too far from the lozenge.
May the Quit be with us.

I looked it up on the net. It delivers the equivalent of 2 cigs of nicotine per bottle (not too technical, I hope).
Currently it's marketed in airports to help smoking passengers get through their flights. There was no mention in the articles, but hopefully it isn't available to minors (i.e. only sold in the bars), but I wouldn't be surprised to find in for sale in the snack bars and gift shops.
I wonder how long before there are chugging competitions to see how many a person can down without getting sick.
Speaking of sick, the FDA approved it!! Thank you, our wonderful, protective government. Glad to see you're on the side of the people.
