Hey all,
I used to hang around these parts a couple of years ago. What a great group of people you all are!!!! Have a friend here in the office I just turned her on to you guys today, so I decided to stop in myself. I haven't been here for quite awhile......looks like you all are doing wonderfully!! To all the old posters-CONGRATS ON YOUR QUITS and to all the newbies-CONGRATS ON YOUR DECISIONS TO QUIT, YOUR QUITS, AND KEEP FOCUSED ON YOUR GOALS!
Next month is my 2 year anniversary. NO SLIPS AT ALL!!! I will say that and proud! If I can do it, all of you can do it. I swear! I started smoking at 14, smoked for 17 stupid years, and quit on my 4th try. It is hard, but sooo very, very rewarding.
Now let me give you some advice. If you are not sick from smoking your cigs, you're lucky. If you haven't quit.....QUIT NOW!!
I had a persistant cough for 2 years prior to my final quit. I've been diagnosed with asthma in the last year. Terrible. I thought for sure I would be okay....Im young....healthy.....if I quit now I'll be okay. Well, I kinda am, but I'm kinda not. So if you are still thinking about quitting, stop thinking and get it done. You WILL become sick......one way or another.
Thanks for listening to me boast and lecture. I'll try to stick around a little bit more.....I need to return the favors that my predecessors gave me.
Julie
