Green eyes, I agree with Rusty... how come the computer can't be set up in another room? Most libraries have public access computers, so you can still stay in touch occasionally or if you're really craving if you can get to a library. Printing off a bunch of stuff is a great idea, so you can have things to read whenever you're having a hard time. Also, I suggest keeping a quit diary of your cravings, intensity, frequency, etc... and also how you are progressing in your quit so that you can see how far you will go. It's not easy quitting, and quitting alone I think is much harder. It's a shame that you can't have us to help you, but if that's not a possibility, then you're going to have to envision whatever you think that we would tell you and then hold tight to that and know that we are all waiting anxiously for your return in a month!!! Just think about how proud we will all be of you in a month when you get to come here and tell us that you made it SMOKE FREE!!! We'll all be rooting for you! Crave the Quit! I can NOT believe it!!!! I finally get the courage to go at this quit with all I have and then hubby decides he is going to rip this room apart, all of it before the snow flies. This is the only room I can keep our computer in, so in less than a couple of hours, this computer and everything else in this room gets put away and covered in plastic to protect it from drywall compund dust. When I asked how long........he said, I don't know, maybe a month!!! :gasp: So I'm going at this alone but also with the help of the good Lord, but man support would have really helped me out. Oh well, can't do nothing about it, except to stay strong and beat this addiction without all you helpful folks. I must go now as I want to print out as much as I can before I get disconnected. Best of Luck to all the newbies and stay strong and committed, as I will too. Green Eyes, may I gently suggest that you firmly request that the computer be set up somewhere else in the house? You must explain to him how important this quit is to you, and that this site provides the support that you need. Also remember that most libraries have computers that the public can use. Please do what you can to stay with us.
