My First 5 Days by Jacko

Hey Jacko - sorry you're having such a tough time. Funny how cr*ppy things all fall from the sky at the worst of times. I was wondering when the U.K. was going to ban smoking in pubs and bars? It would help you with your quit, and although business might dip for a bit, people will not quit drinking just because they can't smoke, and will be back. I'm not following soccer, but it seems that there are very few Canadians in Canada right now. Everywhere I go there are Italian flags hanging off of cars, but maybe that's just where I live. It's fun to see the excitement of the sport, but it hasn't compelled me to sit down with a beer and start watching. All the best to you - you are doing AMAZING. You will previal! sushik My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 809 Amount Saved: $288 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 40 Seconds: 53

The game England lost was bad for me too cause I'm a soccerfan aswell. I'm sorry about that. That you still not smoke is really good. With all that stress you've been through.....you do great. Keep up the good work and make your wife happy. Hi Gang- You aint gonna believe the stress levels I`ve been thro` the 1st 5 days of my quit. Nowt to do with smoking, just my crazy zany life and the town I live in. Day 1 included my wife, hearing a rumour about me that was NOT true-she left. Day 2,3,4, she didnt believe me, still away. Day 5, realised it was all bollocks, and came back. It was and easy GET OUT CLAUSE for me to fail and also, my Bar was packed out for the England game, and all them smokers, and we lost. England losing in the World Cup is devastating, for me as a soccer fan and for my business which I suppose lost 5k this Wed night for the semi-final. But still my quit was stronger than ever. My wife is back home now and she cant stop kissing me as I was really still a smoker when she left. Its great. I joined the Gym and took it out on my body as I was comfort eating, but I am now watching the calories as Im 232 lbs-----it is falling, slowly tho`. Pity about the sport, but I`m used to it with the teams I follow- Philles(Baseball) and Manchester City(soccer). Hope Everyone is Still Quit???? Jacko UK (and Feeling Really Good) (Smokeless for 5 Days, 8 hours and 34 mins.) Hey, Jacko... I'll trade you your first five days for my 21! ;p Within 24 hrs I twisted my ankle, and ended up in the Emergency Room with a foot the size of a football. Two days later I was socked with $1,000 worth of unexpected repair bills to the house and car. A week later, a pipe burst and filled my finished basement with more than 1200 gals of water. And, the following week I learned I had been downsized at work and will have no job after Aug 4. I can hardly wait to see what the next week brings. ;) But so far, I've held fast and I have faith you will, too. glad all is well, you are really good with the bar and everything. Keep on the good work. The best way to stop smoking is not to smoke...
