... but at the same time, if you have teenage kids - they seem to have NO appreciation for what you are trying to do!
And .... all the things you think are important now - you will see as trivial in a few years' time
sorry for being a Dad

..are like children, more like teens at times.
At least my mom is. When she is faced with something contrary to what she says, her response is 'whatever'. :)
My dad, just the opposite. The whiniest guy you ever met. Gotta have his way. He's either right or you are not welcome. :)
So I have to really WATCH IT when I go for a visit. I have to make sure I stay on subjects like weather, campus life (work), how I am enjoyng being smoke free (but not be too detailed about it) and well, again the weather. Storm stories is a good one to stay on with mom. Oh the drama. :)
My dad well you just gotta let him talk. Because if you are talking he will talk over you anyway. And he will expect that you be quiet and let him make his several dozen points before you nod your head in agreement. Grr. :)
But I sit there quietly and smiling. Too much truth professing while visiting my folks = a one way ticket back to H*** week. And I ain't stupid. :)
Thought I would share that because I have been wanting to write about how annoying my folks are since I quit. I can no longer look away when they do their immature avoidance and tantrum dance. But if I am going to have any relationship with them at all then I have to be the one to stand silently in my truth and smile when talking about the weather, or not talking and nodding my head to keep peace.
Now my visits are very minimal. Go figure. It's about all I can handle though. Protecting my quit comes first, along with my sanity! :p

Your right this is your quit and you should protect it! You have reached 90 days and this is quite an accomplishment :)
Be proud we are!
Keep Strong,
Josie
