PrincessC - You are OK... Everything is fine - you are in THIS moment, not looking back, and not looking forward. Stay in this moment. Breathe like Island Girl said. When you exhale let all panic out... let that panicky energy OUT... Keep breathing till its all gone. Let it out. Again. L E T IT O U T... PrincessC - I hope that you are breathing slowly now...a wonderful breathing and relaxing excercise I do is to lie down - preferably in a darkened room - breathe in through your nose and hold it for 5 seconds...then breathe out through your mouth. Do this about 5 times and then just breathe deeply...then concentrate on relaxing your toes, the bottom of your feet, your ankles, your calves, your shins, knees, thighs until you reach the top of your head. All the while breathing out and in deeply. Really relax that spot between your eyes. Block out everything but the thought of relaxing. It always helps me to put on some soft music - jazz or whatever you like. Lay there for about 15 minutes...relax... You are a non-smoker...you are living the great life!! I want you to breath slowly. You are not going to die young from smoking BECAUSE YOU QUIT SMOKING. Let's breath slowly in through the nose and out through the mouth and repeat. Here's a SSC sister site for anxiety http://www.paniccenter.net/ Hang in there~ N2k My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 329 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,259 Amount Saved: $1645 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 7 Mins: 35 Seconds: 36

Princess, Its possible that your smoking has been masking symptoms of some illness, and when you stop smoking the symptoms abruptly become noticeable. Take the time to talk to your doctor to help you with a plan and to rule out anything medical. We also have a sister site at www.paniccenter.net that can be of great assistance to you. It can help you assess your panic and uses a program to help you through. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
