That's awesome, congratulations to you!!!!!!
That gives me hope. It has only been a week for me but I've already lost 1.5 lbs. I thought EVERYone gained weight when quitting smoking. If I had known this, I would have quit a LONG, LONG time ago!!!!!

Hi. I quit smoking on June 24th. It was my third and last attempt to become smoke free. My biggest worry was gaining weight. Several weeks before I quit, I joined Weight Watchers. Not only have I not gained weight, I've lost 10 pounds! I may very possibly turn into a kernal of popcorn, but I've been smoke free from 54 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joinging a weight loss program can be done at any time!

Funny - i quit weight watchers shortly after I quit smoking. I found a love for myself that gave me permission to gain a few pounds with the knowledge that a perosn that loves themselves will be kind to themselves and eat well... and that i don't have to count those darned points anymore. I'm worth more than that, frankly.

I am so sorry to disappoint you, Annie. The same goes for you, Aidensmomma. BUT...
You didn't lose that weight at all. I found it on my backside and now I would like to return it to you ASAP!!! ;)
I wish I had gained more knowledge on quitting and gaining weight before I quit smoking. It would have saved me a lot of the hard work I am now doing to loose the weight I gained. But I do not regret quitting one single bit because of the weight gain. I gained 35 pounds in 2 months. ACK! LOL! But that's ok ... it is now coming off.
Never let 'gaining weight' stop you from quitting. It is manageable.
