Hi Jan I'm glad you are feeling better. Left you another message on your 7 day thread! I am glad you are celebrating, i'm glad that you have wonderful beagles and a great family that are surviving. I'm also glad that sometimes you are just as cranky as me (so I don't feel so bad) Last nite, Brian told me to turn to Channel 522 and it was a show about OATMEAL! I said "Oatmeal...why the h*** would I want to watch a show about oatmeal??!!" Well...really...why would I? lol He just thought that I would be interested because I had just finished telling him that I was tired of eating porridge. Anyway, he's surviving and so am I! My cat has never had so much attention! He will be sooooooooo spoiled by the time I get back to my "old self" or more likely on to my "new self" Keep taking care! 2 in the morning and I am wide awake, drinking hot tea and posting. I have one of the worst colds I've had in a long time and I'm happy anyway! I don't smoke! I just love saying that. I've got a cough that just won't quit and you know, in the past that would never have stopped me from smoking. I'd be huddled outside, puffing and coughing away. Its amazing how powerful this thing is that I'd actually be taking puff after puff between cough spells. Sure this week has been tough, and sure my kids cringe when they see me coming, but hubby still loves me(I think), and my beagles wag their tails at me just as much as ever. In fact when I'm feeling restless, all I have to do is hug my dogs and they calm me right down. Any everyone here is wonderful, encouraging me every step of the way! What a rollercoaster ride, one I'm so thankful I'm on. So thanks everyone for all your support. Ah well...I'll finish my tea and try to get some sleep. Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 211 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 32 Seconds: 33

Everything is well. Feeling better tonight. Cough medication does wonders! And yes, my dogs have really helped with my quit. They get me out walking and they make me smile when I don't feel like smiling. They make me laugh with their antics, and the other night they actually frustated the heck out of me with their 2am howling(which I'm sure you can attest to, Phillip), because I was the one chasing them around the backyard. The only reason they were outside was because I was up! Normally, they'd be sound asleep on the bed, snoring the house down. Ah beagles...you gotta love them! Jan, Way to stay positive! We are happy to hear that your hubby is supportive of your quit. We hope you feel better soon Jan! Be sure to consult a doctor if your cold persists. At times, quitting smoking can trigger colds. Your immune system is working overtime and it is the time of the year where these colds creep up on us. Have a nice cozy, lazy day :).
