Hi Ann: Welcome! Glad you have decided to quit smoking! We get really excited here about people wanting to join our great group of quitters. Hopefully you have utilized the Quit Program Tools at the left and have your "crave control" or what we call coping mechanisms already in place. You can do this, a lot of folks here said this was how they made their quit stick - by coming here and getting/giving support. That along with wanting to quit more than they want to smoke. You will now have a place to go where everyone understands how you're feeling because you're not smoking. Feel free to share what's running through your mind ~ we'll listen and celebrate milestones with you or help you through your horrendous day! aekvall I have had several trials my self. Dont look at how many times youve tried to quit. After 26 years of smoking, sometimes it takes a few practices to get it right. Just dont give up, the past is gone and the future is ahead. Remember the 3 Ps- POSITIVE attitude [very necessary] POST often [their is almost always someone here to post when you are in need of support] & Not One PUFF ever [It is hard to stop after one puff} Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
