I'm so new to this, maybe I've misunderstood? I do tend to see things in black and white, but I also recognize there are grey areas as well... except not with addiction. I know for sure that I cannot take one puff, or one drag ever because if I do, I am no longer smoke free. The nicodemon perched on my shoulder would whisper into my ear that one drag is no big deal, and I would believe that, until next weekend, or the next time I'm out with smokers. Then he would whisper in my ear that I handled having one drag so well, why not go for a whole cig and the cycle has begun. Or, I've completely misunderstood this whole thing, and if so, I do apologize :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 653 Amount Saved: $80 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 18 Mins: 47 Seconds: 8

Hi Janet - I went to the Blues Festival myself last weekend - it was pretty cool. Congrats on staying smoke-free! I have to take my Vespa in for service this weekend on Jax Beach - do you know anything about the jazz festival? Hey gang, The weekend Blue's festival was AWESOME to say the least. I went out drinking Saturday night with a bunch of people who smoked (thought I'd find it difficult) and it was no big deal at all! I actually took a drag off one of the guy's cigarettes and it didn't phase me one way or the other. I didn't want any more but I didn't get sick either. Was kind of like "oh yea, no big deal, I don't do that anymore". So, I am still smoke-free here in sunny Florida and I'm trotting down the sandy walkway to the beach...I can smell the salt air now!
