I woke this morning to find my tongue swollen with what my gradma called "lie bumps" (you know, the sore bumps you get on the tip of your tongue), three pimple looking sores under my tongue, and the roof of my mouth covered in white film. I went to my dr. who told me I had a bacterial infection in my mouth! She said if I had been smoking it would have been much worse, and even could have landed me in the hospital. I'm not sure she was being completely honest, more like she REALLY wants me to stay quit (she's been with me through 5 yrs of quitting). Either way, just another reason I'm glad I'm not a smoker. Hi DD, hope you are feeling better, I remember having that and I was smoking. Did the Dr give you something to wash your mouth out with? I don't remember what it was but it was green, and I used it 4 times a day. Take care and I'm glad you're not smoking with this bacterial infection. Believe me it would have been much worse, believe the Dr because I did end up in the hospital for 3 days. Take care and keep us posted. DD, Congrats on 16 days and it is great to see that you are working with your doctor. It is true that healing time does take longer if you are a smoker. Glad you are ok! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
