One of my favorite mantras (and I still recite it): - "The bridge has been burnt!" Yes, no matter what, I won't go back to that smokers' land! :) Cheers, nmc

Hey ang great post. I really ppreciate how you check in so often and that you really stay connected here. I very much enjoy your attitude to your quit. Your first paragraph is an inspiration to me. [quote] 1. Never ever think I can "slip"- I think there is no such thing as a slip. You either stop smoking or you dont. A slip is when you unintentionaly fall or fail. Relapsing is when you intentionally smoke a cigarette. You are telling yourself that its okay before you light that cigarette of course what you are telling yourself is false and a weak excuse. Relapsing is when you intentionally smoke a cigarette. You are telling yourself that its okay before you light that cigarette of course what you are telling yourself is false and a weak excuse. 2. Smoking is not an option 3. Whenever I think of smoking the only thought that come to my mind is yipeee i am a non-smoker 4. Occasionally remind ppl who care about how well you are doing in your quit 5. Try to treat yourself better in all othere areas teeth, eating and sleep!!! 6. Post here often when having trouble or are proud of yourself. Try to help others offer encourgement, wisdom and advice in between to those who need it 7. Not to pressure others to quit, just show by example by not smoking! 8. Go outside once in awhile breathe in the fresh air and be glad that your not breathing toxifc fumes and you are going out to enjoy the enviroment not to pollute it! 9. That I am more creative than my addiction there are thousands of things to do other thgan smoke to relieve boredrom, stress , pass time etc... 10. That everything positive i thought about smoking was a lie!
