As I reported last week I had to go for a stress test, well I heard today that it went very well. My Dr's was very pleased that I had quit smoking. My breathing has emproved from 68% to 108% I don't know how they measure this I just took a test to exhale all the air I had in my lungs. So I am very pleased that nothing serious was wrong. But I have had a very bad day craving like you would not believe,(OH YES YOU WOULD)that little voice in the back of my brain telling me: "IT'S OKAY TO SMOKE". And it was all I could do not to go get cig's. Finally after an hour or so I said: IT'S NOT OKAY IF I SMOKE BECAUSE I AM A NON-SMOKER.
Why now, this is day 67 and I have never had cravings like I have today. I am on the patch and I will finish the program on Friday. Now I am really scared, if it is doing it now what is it going to be like on Sat??? I thought I was prepared for something like this, I have got to come up with something different. The breathing, music, treadmill, eating, cleaning house, talking with friends on the phone, and reading all the threads on this site. And nothing has helped. Some of the threads make me want to some more. Boy, do I know what they are going through. I should feel go greatful for the good health report I got and I am. But I think the little voice is telling me: "SEE THE CIG'S DIDN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IN YOUR HEALTH". But you know what it has, but my health will improve more and more and I have just got to remember that.
Well I guess I am whine, whine, whine......
