GRRRRR

Kitty, The first week I wanted to kill everyone that passed by me. :eg: My fiance steered clear of me, for the most part. I found that venting in the car was GREAT! Of course, the road rage has to end somewhere. Try walking/running. I was never much of an exerciser, but I've gotten really into it because its a way of relieving stress, aside from taking a puff! You can do it!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/17/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 414 Amount Saved: $94.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 21 Mins: 29 Seconds: 34

kitty you are doing a great job of quitting, just hang in there, it does get better. Everyons quit is different so its hard to say when this or that will happen. I had the spaced out feeling and one day it was gone, it just goes away when you least expect it. I had the grouchies too, I even whacked my hubby one day when he said something that ticked me off :gasp: poor guy didnt know what hit or what he had done, I just told him to LEAVE me alone and he did (probably very happy too) All this is part of the process, but I will tell you it is WORTH it!!! I have never felt better in my life than I do now that I quit. Its not easy but its worth it!! Hey kitty--I can VERY much relate. Have already had to make a couple of apologies myself. I'm bumping a thread for you called what's your favorite thread. Look for hummybird's post on that thread. She has an underlined thing that says here...it will take you to a post by duffis that is just awesome. He talks about the first several weeks of the quit and how cranky you are and how you can't concentrate, etc. It will make you smile, at least for a minute, and you might even get a laugh out of it. (or it might just make you mad, in which case just come back here and yell at me) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 62 Amount Saved: $13 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 14 Seconds: 14

Pam, please help the technologically challenged here. How do you do that underline thing where you reference another post?

Go to the Forum For New Users and General Discussion and look for a thread called "What's Your Favorite Post". (I bumped it up, so should be somewhere near the top) Once you get into that thread, look for a post by hummybird. She recommends a post by duffis called "Another Duffis Sermon". She put in a link to it, so all you have to do is click on that link and it will open up the old thread by duffis. Good luck.

The IQ of a rutabaga part is no joke. One evening in a span of 15 minutes, I left my bank card in the machine and drove off (never got it back, had to cancel it) and then drove off from the gas station with my gas cap on the back of the car. It rolled off in traffic. Never got it back either. Had to go find an auto supply store and buy a replacement. This was a couple of failed quits ago, somewhere in the first three weeks of the quit. All I wanted was a smoke right then, but I had no bank card, and no cash in my wallet. Sometimes ya gotta laugh at yourself. (which I could do later but not right then)

Kitty- I keep relapsing, so I'll have to wait for an experienced quitter with more time under his/her belt to help you with that one.

Sorry Pam, I tried but no luck. I could paste the URL, but it was the acutal URL and not the word here underlined that someone could click on. Did I miss a step? Kitty -- I'm sorry I'm on your thread doing this, but trying to figure this out is one more thing I can do today to keep from focusing on a craving. Pam, maybe we should start a different thread and get out of kitty's?

Kitty, In my time I think I may have accidentally tripped an annoying person or two...by accident of course :) You will get through this "hell Week" and you can do this. We usually try to advise relaxation and some "you" time here. Go for a brisk walk, have a hot drink and to relieve further stress try a punching bag! ( a real one :) ) Continue to let us know how you are doing, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
