Jumping on the VENT Bandwagon Today

18 years ago 0 547 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi CobenFan! Sorry to hear you are not feeling so hot today. I am jumping on too, because my congestion is back. This past weekend was the first time it had cleared since last year and now it's back to the nasal sounding operator voice. I know how you feel and I am sure everyone knows too, as we all go through the sick thing and I had the flu 4x this year so I am pretty sick of being sick too. Bluepanda when I first quit boy my hormones went NUTZO and I broke out all over my face, neck and arms!! In a word - YUCK!!!! It has cleared up now for the most part but it icks me when I see one because I am 36! :8o: It is cleansing time for everyone and that also means 'Letting the VENT Out'. Call it 'cleaning the air ducts' so you have a 'more positive' energy airflow. Hey they all gotta be cleaned sometime, might as well be now, less to clean later. I know we all feel alot better when we can come in and have a little hissy fit. It helps keep the sanity (or insanity, in my case). Feel better soon Coben, you are almost on day 25!! Nice stats!!!! WOOOHOO!!! Do something good for yourself today, and every day. Many Blessings, Eve C.A.R.E. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 85 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 21 Mins: 36 Seconds: 2

Dear All: I have to say, I have been sick for over 6 days now and I am SO tired of it!!!!!! Even when I smoked I did not get sick for this long. Geez, my body must be in overdrive to get to the cleansing part of things. I am on day 24 and I don't want to smoke - but I am mostly ticked off because I am not feeling as well as I did a week ago, which was FABULOUS!!!! I'm still drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day (tired of that too) but it does help me somehow. I'm back on the Biaxin, hopefully for the last time for a long time! SICK of BEING SICK!!!!! But being the stubborn ox I am, I will be ... Hangin In, Not Givin In CobenFan - Christine M. By the Way Harlan Coben has a new book out - so at least one good thing this week!!!! If you want a thrill that's WAY better than smoking, pick up one of his books. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 419 Amount Saved: $84 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 42 Seconds: 25

Thanks gang, I kind of have my voice back a little, hard to tell at 5:30 am but am headed out for work soon. Glad to hear I am not the only one with illness. Wish I could sleep in today (don't we all) but that won't pay the bills. Right now I don't have pimples so hopefully I can escape that one! My voice sounds terrible, maybe I am getting a new one -- no more "Gravel Gertie" smokers voice! LOL. RedRosie: I recommmend you read No Second Chance by Harlan Coben first, although there is no "special order" just read them randomly. Mr. Coben also does a series of books with a character who is a sports rep named Myron Bolitar. I have also read these, but don't like them as well as his regular books. I am counting the days (4/25) til the new book comes out. Make sure you let me know what you think :) Have a nice day all! Hi Christine, Two words... Ben & Jerries.... O.k. maybe that's 3 words. Sorry you're feeling bad but it's great to see that you're not wanting a cig! Maybe if you just keep thinking of it as a cleansing thing that will help. I have a zit on my chin... Jiminy Christmas I'm 49 years old and I have a zit on my chin... arghhhhhh! I tell myself it's my body cleansing but boy that really ticks me off. :)

Hi CobenFan, I hope you start feeling healthier soon. I must say as an avid reader, you made me curious about this Harlan Coben, So I googled him and from what I can tell, he sounds like an author I will enjoy. I will head to the library in a day or two to see if I can get some of his works. Any suggestions on which one I should try first? By the by, I'm glad I'm finally able to clear up where you got your name from, I thought maybe it was suppose to be Cobain, as in Kurt. LOL. Silly me!!! redrosie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 107 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,590 Amount Saved: $888.1 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 12 Mins: 21 Seconds: 17

Morning CobenFan. Thanks for the info on H.C., will definately check him out. On what you said about your voice, you really could be getting a new one. Years ago I was quite a good singer(just along to the radio), but years of smoking left my singing voice, in the words of you know who, Just Horrid!!! lol. Since my quit, I have gotten my singing voice back. Yippee!!! Now I don't scare myself when I'm belting one out in the car!! Have a great day at work. (well try).
