Hey Sheller, Good to hear from you. Sorry for all your hardships. Look how strong you are! Going through all this and not smoking. It would be so easy to use it as an excuse to start smoking again. You should be very proud of yourself. Sheller- I can SO relate to what you feel. There comes a point, more than once, when you just say to yourself, "**** this, it's not worth it. I would much rather indulge my addiction. Who cares anyway??!" But if you hang on, it is really worth it. I can only tell you that a week or so ago, my shortness of breath got much better. My clothes don't smell. My MD is pleased that I apparently have dodged a serious bullet. My friends are really pleased. My husband is jealous (I think, and hope he will quit) Food tastes TOO good. I can smell everything (which is good, and, um, bad...) I don't have to plan when and where I can smoke. I don't have to ask friends if they mind sitting in the smoking section. I am saving money now that I am weaning off Nicorette. I can do aqua aerobics without gasping. I can live another day without stinking to high heaven and hiding my addiction when I think I may offend someone or when I am ashamed. I don't have to go outside in s***** weather to suck down some smoke. I don't have to ransack the house for a match when my lighter goes dead. I don't have a permanent cough. I don't have ANY cough at all!! My house is not covered in a yellow stain. My house does not smell like stale smoke. and on and on and on...can you add some to this list??!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/17/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,926 Amount Saved: $845 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 5 Mins: 6 Seconds: 44
