Since then I haven't wanted a cigarette, haven't craved a cigarette, haven't even wished I had a cigarette. And even more amazing then that, my life has been anything but stress-free. I traveled to Wisconsin with my daughter, who smokes, met a new gentleman friend (complete disaster, lol) came back home, fought with my other 2 daughters, then got the word that my sister who was dying of cancer had taken a turn for the worse. Got in the car at 1:30 last Wednesday morning and drove the 8 hours down to Newark Ohio to be with her for the last four hours of her life, then stayed down there with her crazy, dysfunctional step family until after the funeral. All that, still no cigarettes! I must tell you that I'm not sure whether to just praise God for the blessing of removing this horrible addiction from me so easily, or to be terribly, terribly afraid it's going to jump up out of nowhere and surprise me when I least expect it. Daff.. Attitude is everything. Surely making it through all those stressors you can make it through whatever comes your way. If cravings do seem to pop out of no where remind yourself of all you have made it through without smoking. Protect your quit, never take it for granted and remember to always take it one day at a time. Some days are harder than others but you can make it just as you have already proven to yourself. Congratulations, daff_O_dills. Follow Lady's advice. Without obessing about it, always be on guard. If Ol' Nic tries something, recognize it for what it is and know it won't last long. You're doing great, Daff. Keep up the good quit. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 318 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,371 Amount Saved: $1208.4 Life Gained: Days: 59 Hrs: 9 Mins: 15 Seconds: 12
