Luci-Lou don't you dare think of giving up this battle!!!! Whether you smoke or not those problems are still going to be there. Giving in isn't like waving a magic wand and everything just goes away. It is still there only you have one more thing that is going wrong, you smoke again!!! We are at 3 weeks today, 30 days on the 22nd, and we are going to walk on that beach together on April 2. Big deep breathes in and out, over and over and say I will not give in till you convince yourself. WE can do this. Breakers Rule!!!! lucy-lou, The third week was pretty hard for me too. Unfortunately, my b/f got the worst of it, and fortunately we are friends again today, but it was tough. He smokes. The first time I quit, I found myself sleeping in the afternoon and at unusual times around the clock. I felt like I was not connected to anything and had these vivid dreams. It is completely different this time around, Just stick it out dear. This too shall pass, and things will be get better. Besides, the breakers need you. Do something fun for starters and be good to yourself. Keep posting until you feel better ok? In the breakers post, somebody suggested that we have a "weekend pledge". Why don't you start us off. Aunt Sissy - drank some water, eating chocolate, feeling a little better...i may see if i can go home early and just crash for a couple hours...i'm not going to abandon you we're in this together right!! I was serious when i said i don't ever want to go through this again!! Hell, Heck and Blah weeks SUCK!! and they're over as of today - so it can only get better from here. Josie's right - there will be tough days and i have to learn to get through them without the cancer-stix. You're right too - the problems will be there whether i decide to inhale cancer or not...smoking will only add to any problems i have, it won't take any away... Thanks for being here - i really appreciate the pep-talks!! Jess - thanks for being there... Aunt Sissy - wow, you've spent a lot of time figuring all this out!! April 2 seems so far...but we have made it 3 weeks now, and i don't EVER want to go through this again so i shouldn't even think about smoking right? i am breathing deep, i think i am going to go get some chocolate... i'm unusually hormonal today...i think i need to sleep or something...
