I feel as though if I get into a horrible situation and I choose to smoke, it means theres nothing I can do and things will not get better a.k.a I am dead or going to die in 5 seconds. I had a pretty big situation this week and I am still awaiting some more test results but I knew that I wouldnt smoke because its not the end of the world. When its the end of the world than maybe you'll see me smoking. lol, but even than who knows Ill prolly be more concerned with my life than smoking. Giving up and smoking this week would of meant that there was nothing else I could do to make myself feel better. TThat I am unoriginal, dumb, and weak. But I am none of those and I know it. I am proud of myself for not giving in, very proud because this situation was ALOT harder than the last situation I faced on my last quit attempt lasting a month. Which I was just a little stressed about a job. This time the problem was about my HEALTH. I have a question, tell me if Im just making excuses or minimizing my accomplishment. But do you think its easier to stay quit when your stressed when you have been quity for awhile. (ive been quit 2 months) than say when your one week into your quit or a month, like my last failed attempt. Maybe I am just getting used to not smoking on the whole and its been so long. I dunno but somehow Ive managed to stay quit. I think one of the reasons is because I have all you guys supporting me and I can read other peoples entries and relate to them and try to help others sometimes too. Although im reletively new and am still learning alot. :-) But knowing that I can go somewherewhere everyone is supportive of my quit and they themselves are no longer making excuses for smoking. My friends smoke and I hate hearing their excuses why they wont quit. : "Anything can kill you" Anyways gtg ttyl :-) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 84 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 424 Amount Saved: $672 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 6 Mins: 39 Seconds: 46
