Past Quit Attempt Mistakes

I am realizing the mistakes Ive made in my last attempt that lasted a month. I was doing it all wrong but I am glad that I had it because I learned alot from it. Mistakes I Made on My Last Quit Attempt\ I used nicotine replacement therapy and didnt use it correctly, plus the nicotine replacement therapy didnt work for me I was too confident and didnt take conscise care of my quit I hung around with smokers way too early I didnt plan what I would when I was having a craving due to stress I didnt reward myself after awhile I let junkie thoughts take over I didnt read up on nicotine addiction much, didnt read online or any books so I didnt understand the nature of my addiction I believed I could smoke just one and not get re-addicted I didnt seek out much support I drank too much in replacement of smoking, which lowered my inhibitions which I ended up smoking while drunk I was exposed to smoking and cigarettes wayy too much I was working as a security guard and I had to search peoples cigarette packs which in turn triggered me insanely since half the people I checked smoked, had cigarettes on them etc!! ended up asking people for cigarettes! Saw it as a willpower thing instead of easier than willpower since now Id much rather not smoke than smoke My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 218 Amount Saved: $344 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 17 Mins: 2 Seconds: 30
