Agh!! That must have been so incredibly challenging!! WELL DONE! Where i live smoking is banned in ALL clubs and pubs... everywhere really. On top of that cigarettes can not be lit within 10metres of any doorway! FURTHERMORE... it's nearly winter down here in Tasmania (Australia) and STILL i have battled the hurdles to suck a quick one back! Tomorrow is quit day, so wish me luck! Well done to you... that is a grand achievement!! Smiles Cass

ang- congrats! I don't think I could go near a bar right now, but I'm only at day 24. The truth is at some point we all have to start "living" again, and functioning in a normal way. That includes (unfortunately) being around people who smoke. I am not looking forward to being around my family (bros and sis smoke), but I can't avoid them forever. Well, I wish I could...but not cause they smoke. I was sort of scared because this is my first time going out partying since I quit. but I made it! :-) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 87 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 438 Amount Saved: $696 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 10 Mins: 50 Seconds: 0

Great job. I too used to worry about drinking without smoking but the more times I drank the more I found easier to avoid smoking. I don't even think of ciggs when I drink now. ang, Good for you!!! I'm past the bar scene (I'm a very old man :p ) but can understand how this can be a bad scene for a new quitter. I often tell new quitters to avoid such places for a couple of months, and it looks like you've done that! Keep up the great quit!! Be Strong. Be Smart.
